Airwallex is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their elite Founders' Lab, a high-impact innovation hub focused on developing next-generation fintech AI solutions. The role requires a highly skilled engineer who can drive 0-to-1 product development, work across the full technology stack, and translate strategic visions into market-ready software solutions.

What you'll do

0-to-1 Product Development: Collaborate with CEO and leadership to transform strategic visions into functional software products

AI Innovation: Lead technical evaluation and implementation of emerging AI technologies for the financial platform

Architectural Decision Making: Make pragmatic architectural choices that balance rapid prototyping with long-term scalability

Full Stack Ownership: Develop comprehensive solutions spanning backend systems, data models, and user interfaces

Team Foundation: Bootstrap technical foundations for new product lines and ensure smooth transition of incubation projects

Backend Engineering10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend system design skills
