Summary

Deel is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js and TypeScript to join their innovative global payroll and HR platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop scalable, high-performance backend systems that support Deel's mission of unlocking global work opportunities across 150+ countries.

What you'll do

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless software experiences

Product Development: Participate in full software development lifecycle from discovery to deployment, developing robust new features and APIs

System Optimization: Design and enhance scalable systems capable of managing high transaction volumes with optimal performance and concurrency

API Development: Build secure and scalable APIs with robust input validation, authentication, and queue-based system implementations

Backend TechnologiesExpert-level proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript with experience in additional server-side languages

Database ManagementAdvanced PostgreSQL skills including query optimization, data migrations, and complex database modeling

Education
