Summary

Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js and AWS to join their globally distributed team. The ideal candidate will develop scalable backend solutions for Deel's innovative global payroll and HR platform, working collaboratively to enhance a cutting-edge SaaS product that supports distributed teams across 150+ countries.

What you'll do

Feature Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust new features, APIs, and continuously improve product offerings

System Optimization: Design and implement scalable backend solutions that can handle high transaction volumes and complex business logic

Performance Tuning: Optimize database queries, enhance system concurrency, and ensure high-performance application architecture

API Design: Create secure, efficient, and well-documented APIs with robust input validation and authentication mechanisms

Technical Collaboration: Participate in product planning, code reviews, and provide technical insights across the development lifecycle

What we look for

Backend DevelopmentMinimum 8 years of software engineering experience with focus on backend systems

System DesignProven expertise in designing scalable, high-performance backend architectures

Object-Oriented ProgrammingStrong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
