Summary

Deel is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global, remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will develop scalable, high-performance backend systems for their innovative global payroll and HR platform, contributing to a product that supports distributed teams across 150+ countries.

What you'll do

Product Development: Develop and enhance features for Deel's global payroll and HR platform
API Development: Create robust, scalable APIs with input validation and secure authentication
Performance Optimization: Optimize backend systems for high-volume transactions and ensure efficient performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, product, design, and QA teams to deliver exceptional software solutions

What we look for

Technical

Backend DevelopmentProficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with 4+ years of software engineering experience
Database ManagementAdvanced PostgreSQL skills, including query optimization and data migrations
System DesignExperience in designing scalable systems that handle high transaction volumes

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Backend EngineeringMinimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience
Distributed SystemsExperience working in remote, globally distributed engineering teams
