Summary

Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js and TypeScript to join their globally distributed team. The ideal candidate will contribute to building a cutting-edge SaaS platform that revolutionizes global workforce management, working on scalable systems that support payroll and HR solutions for international teams.

What you'll do

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless product experiences

Product Development: Participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, from feature discovery to deployment

Feature Enhancement: Develop robust new features, APIs, and continuously improve Deel's industry-leading products

System Optimization: Design and optimize systems for scalability, performance, and high-volume transaction handling

What we look for

Technical

Backend TechnologiesProficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in at least one additional server-side language

Database ManagementExpert-level SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database modeling

System DesignExperience in designing scalable systems that can handle rapid growth and increasing demands

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer

SaaS ExperiencePreferred experience with SaaS products running 24/7 on major cloud vendors
