Summary

Hopper is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to build and evolve their security infrastructure, focusing on application security, vulnerability management, and integrating security seamlessly into development workflows. The ideal candidate will be a proactive security innovator who can leverage AI and automation to create robust, developer-friendly security systems.

What you'll do

Vulnerability Management: Develop and evolve the vulnerability management program with a focus on application security
Security Tool Development: Design and maintain security tools integrated directly into CI/CD pipelines
AI-Powered Security: Leverage AI intensively for faster coding, automated analysis, and intelligent tool development
Telemetry Optimization: Evaluate and improve utilization of system telemetry
Secure Development Practices: Collaborate with engineering teams to influence secure development practices through tools and default configurations

Technical

Security Tool DevelopmentAbility to design, build, and maintain production-quality security tools
Vulnerability AssessmentComprehensive understanding of CVEs, dependency risks, and container security
Cloud InfrastructureProficiency with cloud platforms, particularly GCP/GKE

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred

Experience

Software EngineeringMinimum 5 years of software or platform engineering experience
Security EngineeringDemonstrated expertise in application security and vulnerability management
