The role

Summary

Hopper is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for its Fintech team to build innovative travel technology solutions, focusing on developing highly scalable microservices for B2B travel fintech platforms across the APAC region. The role involves creating cutting-edge systems that power Hopper's proprietary fintech products and integrating with major travel industry partners.

What you'll do

Feature Development: Iterate on features using Scala and React in an agile development environment
System Architecture: Design and implement core systems within a microservices architecture
Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of distributed systems
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Frontend Engineers
Quality Assurance: Write testable, high-quality code that meets performance standards

What we look for

Technical

Cloud ExperienceProven experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure
Programming SkillsStrong programming skills, preferably in Scala and/or React

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience

Senior EngineeringMinimum 5-7 years of software engineering experience
Distributed SystemsDemonstrable experience in designing and implementing distributed system architectures
