Summary

Welltech is seeking a skilled Android Engineer to develop innovative health and fitness mobile applications that impact millions of users. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end product development, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to cutting-edge mobile technology solutions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

What you'll do

Product Development: Shape and co-own the Android codebase as a member of a cross-functional product-engineering team, driving user needs into comprehensive solutions from product discovery to production support.
Technical Leadership: Drive mobile app design and development, contribute to system architecture, and collaborate with engineering teams to push technical excellence across Android platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a trusted partner for product, design, data, and other functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals.
Quality Assurance: Implement and advocate for design testability, automated testing, and end-to-end quality ownership within the engineering process.

Technical

Android Development SkillsExtensive experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack libraries, and modern Android development practices
Architecture ExpertiseStrong understanding of MVVM/MVI architectures, dependency injection, and modular UI design
API and Backend IntegrationProven experience with Rest API integration using Retrofit and advanced asynchronous programming techniques

Education

Computer Science BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Experience

Product Development ExperienceDemonstrated impact in building or refactoring large-scale customer-facing mobile products
Agile MethodologiesExperience with eXtreme Programming, Trunk Based Development, CI/CD, and iterative development approaches

KotlinAdvanced proficiency in Kotlin programming language and its ecosystem
Jetpack ComposeStrong experience with modern Android UI development using Jetpack Compose
Mobile ArchitectureExpertise in designing scalable and maintainable mobile application architectures
