Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to join their Information Security team in Melbourne, Australia. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in protecting the company's global payments infrastructure by designing, developing, and implementing robust cybersecurity measures across networks, systems, and applications.

What you'll do

Security Analysis and Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze applications, software, and services, driving comprehensive security enhancements.

Security Control Development: Design, develop, test, and evaluate new security controls for a rapidly growing global business platform.

Incident Response: Perform incident response, threat hunting, and log source analysis to identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats.

Detection Strategy: Design and implement custom detection strategies and workflows to support the full incident response lifecycle.

System Security Management: Analyze, develop, and maintain secure system integration, testing, operations, and maintenance processes.

Threat Infrastructure Analysis: Conduct comprehensive threat collection, processing, and geolocation to exploit, locate, and track cybersecurity infrastructure.

What we look for

Technical

Cloud Platform ExpertiseIn-depth experience with at least one major cloud platform (preferred: GCP or Alibaba Cloud)

DevOps and Infrastructure ToolsStrong knowledge of software development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management

Cybersecurity SkillsComprehensive understanding of attacker tools, detection techniques, and incident response methodologies

Education

Relevant DegreeBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)

Experience

Security Engineering Experience5+ years working in security engineering or incident response roles within a tech company

Threat AnalysisProven ability to investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents with high-quality investigation skills

Cloud SecurityExpertise in securing cloud infrastructure and understanding cloud platform security mechanisms
