The role

Summary

A Senior Product Security Engineer at Airwallex will play a critical role in the Information Security team, focusing on identifying, protecting, detecting, responding to, and recovering from cybersecurity threats. The role involves working closely with Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain robust security infrastructure and incident response capabilities.

What you'll do

Security Analysis and Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze applications, software, and services, driving security enhancements and improvements.

Security Control Development: Design, develop, test, and evaluate new security controls for a rapidly growing business environment.

Incident Response: Perform comprehensive incident response, including hunting through log sources, identifying threats, and developing custom detection strategies.

Threat Mitigation: Utilize data from endpoint, network, and cloud tools to analyze, identify, and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats.

Infrastructure Security: Design, test, implement, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure projects with a focus on system and network security.

Forensic Analysis: Conduct digital forensic investigations, including evidence collection, preservation, and strategic threat tracking.

Cloud Platform ExpertiseIn-depth experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., GCP, Alibaba Cloud)

Development ToolsStrong knowledge of software development tools, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure pipelines

Cybersecurity KnowledgeComprehensive understanding of attacker tools, detection techniques, and incident response methodologies

Education

Cybersecurity EducationBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field preferred

Experience
