Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Lending Engineering team in Singapore, focusing on building a state-of-the-art lending platform that enables enterprise clients to offer innovative credit products through advanced technology and infrastructure.

What you'll do

Platform Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain robust services powering lending and credit products with a focus on scalability and security

API Development: Build and maintain secure, scalable, and well-documented APIs that enable seamless credit product integration for enterprise clients

Technical Leadership: Lead design reviews, provide systems architecture guidance, and mentor engineering team to uphold high standards of code quality and technical excellence

System Reliability: Champion resilient, distributed systems design and best practices to ensure platform reliability and performance at global enterprise scale

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful and effective lending solutions

Quality Assurance: Promote automated testing, code review, and monitoring practices to ensure platform stability, scalability, and security

Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and proactively drive improvements in platform architecture and engineering practices

What we look for

Technical

Backend DevelopmentStrong object-oriented programming skills with experience building backend systems

API DesignExtensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs with knowledge of modern API design principles

Distributed SystemsProven track record in designing high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems at scale

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

Software Engineering5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with exposure to modern engineering practices

Technical LeadershipAt least 2 years in a technical leadership role, mentoring engineers and defining engineering strategy

Required skills

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Java or Kotlin, Spring/Spring Boot framework
