Summary

Ashby is seeking an Engineering Manager in the UK to help build a unique, high-autonomy engineering team that empowers engineers to take ownership of projects from end-to-end. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled leader who thrives in a collaborative, trust-driven environment and is passionate about developing engineers to their full potential.

What you'll do

Team Development: Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team, focusing on individual skill growth and empowerment
Technical Mentorship: Provide deep technical guidance, feedback, and coaching to help engineers excel in their roles
Process Innovation: Create and refine engineering processes that promote autonomy, ownership, and efficiency
Performance Management: Develop robust feedback mechanisms and performance assessment frameworks

Technical ProficiencyDeep technical understanding across infrastructure, backend, and frontend engineering domains

Education

Computer Science/Engineering DegreeBachelor's or equivalent degree in a technical field preferred
