Summary

Ashby is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to join their dynamic infrastructure team, responsible for building scalable, secure, and efficient platform solutions. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem-solver who can develop robust infrastructure, optimize system performance, and contribute to the company's rapidly growing talent acquisition software platform.

What you'll do

Infrastructure Optimization: Optimize homegrown dynamic recruiting DSL-to-SQL compiler and create developer tools
Security Implementation: Create automated guardrails for customer data security and privacy
Deployment Strategies: Implement advanced deployment techniques like canary releases, gradual rollouts, and feature flags
Service Level Management: Define and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
Architectural Evolution: Design and implement infrastructure to support event-driven architecture and data warehouse

Technical

Infrastructure as CodeExperience building and managing scalable cloud infrastructure using modern infrastructure-as-code practices
Cloud TechnologiesProficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
Monitoring and ObservabilityExpert-level experience with monitoring tools like Datadog and Sentry

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

Platform EngineeringProven track record of building infrastructure at a scaling startup or technology company
System ReliabilityDemonstrated experience in improving system reliability, performance, and scalability
